Wellington runs on the equestrian season. From roughly January through April the town fills with competitors, owners and spectators, hospitality space runs at capacity, and a great deal of temporary and semi-permanent venue gets used hard for a few months.

It makes little sense to spend on a system sized for February and then run it, or not run it, through a quiet August. Two things follow from that.
First, schedule aggressively: full output in season, minimal or off outside it. Second, prefer standalone units to ducted ones where the venue itself is seasonal, because a unit that can be moved or stored has more value here than one that is committed to a single air handler. For properties that run year-round, the usual logic applies and we would say so.
