Country club scenting: a clubhouse members recognize the moment they walk in.
One signature scent in the clubhouse, a fresh one in the locker rooms, and nothing in the dining room. Installed and refilled by us, so your staff never touches it.
The short answer
How does a country club scent its clubhouse?
Most clubs put one scent system on the clubhouse air handler for the entry, lobby and members lounge, then add small wall units in each locker room and restroom. A typical Florida clubhouse front of house of 5,000 sq ft with 15 ft ceilings holds 75,000 cubic feet of air, which suits one NL2500 Single ($1,299, 2.5 L, up to 90,000 cubic feet). Larger clubhouses with a ballroom wing take the NL5000 Dual / HVAC ($1,999, up to 180,000 cubic feet).
Nēbu 360, a commercial scenting company in Lake Park, Florida, installs and refills club systems across Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties, from Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens to Boca Raton, and ships units to clubs anywhere in the US.
Zone by zone
What should each part of the club smell like?
Entry and members lounge
The club's signature: warm wood, leather or a soft citrus. Steady, low, recognizable year after year.
Men's and women's locker rooms
The room members judge most. Clean and fresh, scheduled up before tee times and after the afternoon rush.
Ballroom pre-function
Weddings and member events. Set per event from a phone, off when the room is dark.
Pro shop
A retail space like any boutique. A wall unit behind the counter.
Fitness center and spa
Fresh in the gym, calm in the spa. See spa scenting.
Dining room and grill
Leave it unscented. The kitchen is the scent there, and members are eating.
Locker rooms
What is the best locker room air freshener for a club?
A small scheduled unit mounted near the ceiling, not an aerosol dispenser by the door. Locker rooms smell when damp towels, shoes and showers meet poor exhaust, so the first fix is the exhaust fan and the laundry routine. The scent then keeps the room fresh between cleanings.
The NL360 Wall Unit ($110, up to 400 sq ft, battery or USB) has nine intensity levels and five weekly schedules, so it can run stronger on Saturday morning and stay low on a quiet Tuesday. A large locker room with a lounge takes two, or one N250 Wall Mount (500 ml, up to 42,500 cubic feet).
Members remember a clubhouse by its locker room.

Check your clubhouse volume with the sizing tool. Scents clubs ask about: Miami Serenity (leather, cardamom, sandalwood) and Nordic Amber for the lounge, Royal Venture for the men's locker room and White Tea for the spa and women's locker room.

Service
Installed after hours, refilled before members notice.
In Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties we survey the clubhouse with your general manager or facilities director, install on a Monday or after closing, and refill and change batteries on a schedule. Most installs take under 20 minutes per unit. Our service area includes the clubs around Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Boca Raton and Delray Beach.
Season matters in Florida. We set the schedule higher from November to April when the club is full, and lower through the summer, so oil use follows membership. Clubs with several properties, or a beach club and a golf club, can share one scent or keep one each.

Questions
General managers and boards ask.
Do country clubs use scent marketing?
Many private clubs use a signature scent in the clubhouse entry and lounge, the same way luxury hotels do, so members connect the scent with the club. Locker rooms and restrooms get their own fresher scent, and dining rooms are usually left unscented.
What is the best air freshener for a golf club locker room?
A small scheduled wall unit mounted high, such as the $110 Nēbu 360 NL360, set to run stronger at peak tee times, together with good exhaust ventilation and a regular laundry routine. It replaces aerosol dispensers, which spray in bursts and run out unnoticed.
Can the scent be turned off for events or dining?
Yes. Each unit has its own schedule set from a phone app, so the ballroom foyer can run for a wedding and stay off the rest of the week, and the dining room can stay unscented.
Will members with fragrance sensitivities notice?
At the low settings clubs use in common areas, the scent sits in the background. Every Nēbu fragrance has SDS and IFRA documentation on request, and individual units can be turned down or off. See fragrance safety.
